Lil Nugget, puppy, and her friend Chica, a kitten is now in foster care.
These two babies came to the orphanage on the same day on 3 October. Chiki found by chance, and he, fortunately, was healthy.
The puppy is another story. It was brought to the shelter the person who was “in tears because she was dying and needed help,” says Chapman.
Nugget was unconscious; blood glucose and body temperature were too low. Even after the first aid she did not open her eyes and didn’t look up for hours.
An employee of the shelter took the Nugget home to monitor her during the night. And on the second day and second night.Cheeky, too, was lonely and crying in a cage. Tired shelter staff thought, why not give him a chance?
“They immediately began to poke his nose in each other, and later – to play,” says Chapman.
Few weeks Nugget and Chica will be ready to be accepted. They can only be taken together.
Chapman thinks it will not be difficult to find a way to love them-everyone who sees them.
But what is especially remarkable that these two probably saved the lives of each other.
No Chicky Nugget it would be difficult to give to a foster family, as it demanded a lot of attention. And cats as Chiki are no such big opportunities in the shelters.
“It would be one of the many striped kittens, which may be with us for many months trying to find a family,” says Chapman.
